Athanasius is celebrated every year on January 18. As Anthony and Athanasius not belong to the Bulgarian saints , but the people adopted them as their own after the adoption of Christianity. Both saints were born in ancient Egypt.
St. Athanasius is the spiritual successor of St. Anthony . Unlike St. Anthony , St. Athanasius was born in a poor Christian family . Since little is deceived Christian ideas. This gives the impression of Archbishop Alexander of Alexandria . After finishing his education St. Athanasius was appointed secretary of the Archbishop of Alexandria.
