Ledenika"


cave is located 19 km away from Vratsa. It is one of the gems of the
Vratsa Balkan with exceptional underground formations and fabulous
rooms. 

For


millennia, water drops are a consummate sculptor vayali this
extraordinary cave. 

Underground


creation is formed at the end of the Paleocene and mainly during the
Quaternary . Is used for business purposes even in the last decades
of the XVIII century, and the first attempts to complete its study
were made ??in the early XIX century tursisti of Vratsa . 

The


temperature ranges in the cave of -7  C to -15  C and in the entrance
to 8  C in vatreshnostta.Vlazhnostta of air is 92 %. Once the cave
was full of water, but gradually she disappeared and left only a very
small lake called Lake of desire. 





The
cave entrance is located in the lowest part of the Ledenika uval at
an altitude of 830 meters . The first room is the entranceway ( the
lowest part of the cave ), which rises huge ice column with a
diameter of about 21 meters. In winter and spring in this room are
formed ice formations ( stalactites , stalagmites ), hence the name
of the cave. 






Here
are a few meters , in which one has to move lower down - drag pass .
Through it reaches a small room that has an almost circular shape.
After another bottleneck in the cave corridor coma reached the Great
( Concert ) Hall, which is very rich in formations. Some of them are
called by different names because of their interesting shape -
Crocodile , the Giant's head , falcons , Santa, house of Baba Yaga
and many others. For Concert Hall is another - the refrigerator. In
past times, people have used it for storing eggs . Deviate to the
right of the Concert Hall and leads to less sinter lake depth 0,50 m,
for which there is a legend that the water is " magic ." 


From
the Great Hall in iron bridges passing through Little and Great
Divide , pelmet and the corridor leading to the so-called . White
Hall . Here you can see the mother- tongue entities , wife of giant
elephant , Bathing Girl . The highest point of the cave is called
Seventh Heaven . 


The
cave was known during the Ottoman rule. Shepherds used it to store
inside the sheep's milk . 


The
cave is most attractive for consideration in winter and spring.
According to experts it is " divine " acoustics. Its first
visitors in 1961 year, and in 1962 was declared a natural landmark.
